I had no complaints. The bed was comfy, the shower had great temperature and pressure, and the fridge, microwave, and TV all worked well. Good hot coffee, too, and the staff were wonderful and very accommodating. It’s an older building, sure, but it wasn’t dirty. In a historic city in the forest, the housekeeping team and staff do their best, and the Sierra Inn feels like coming home. For the price, it’s a little gem, and I’ll return whenever I’m in the area. 5/5, keep up the great work.

The smaller room I moved into was freezing, the bathroom floor looked disgusting and like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the heater only helped if I stood right in front of it. The pillows were stained and paper thin, so thank goodness I had my own. In the king room, the fake fireplace only blew cold air and was just for looks. I stayed for 10 days. After a week, I moved to that smaller room near the office, having told the manager’s son about my dogs at check-in. While I was walking my girls, one of whom is a service animal, three people came out asking if they’d been sent to find me and tell me to pay for the dogs. Then, as I walked back to my room, the manager said to pay or leave, even though I’d just paid for another three days. It wasn’t just what she said, it was how she said it. She spoke to me that way throughout my stay. The heavyset housekeeper who lives on the property acted the same way. Maybe this is her first job and she doesn’t know customer service, who knows, but that’s not my problem. You never know what someone is going through, and kindness is free. Maybe they should try it.

For a weekend, this room was just what I needed. It was spacious, very clean, and had everything I needed, including a kitchenette about the size of one in a Casita camper. The two queen beds worked well for me and my small Chihuahua. Thanks for the stay!

The staff were very friendly, but people who are allergic to bug bites should know what happened to me. By my last day I was covered in bites on my arms, legs, back, between my toes, fingers, palms, and face on the side against the pillow. They were still itching like crazy days later. I first assumed mosquitoes, since I usually get bitten, but this was different. I checked the bed and didn’t see anything, then found three full-sized bed bugs crawling under my pillow. After I read online that blood stains can be a sign, I checked the backs of the pillows and saw trails of old-looking blood stains. The other bed had those same little trails. While inspecting, a big red spider crawled out of one pillowcase. I’m not going to say the whole hotel was infested, but my room definitely was. The area is lovely, but if I pass through Prescott again, I’ll have to skip this hotel. It needs a thorough cleaning, maybe even fumigation. I just hope nothing hitched a ride on my clothes or bags.

Heather checked me in and made the whole process easy. She was friendly and knowledgeable, and the experience felt like a breath of fresh air. The room was clean, quiet, cute, and just right.
