National 9 Price

I was exhausted and didn’t realize I was staying in a smoking room. I thought those weren’t a thing anymore, and ended up saturated in cigarette smoke. I washed my clothes three times, then threw them all away. This could be a really nice place if they cleaned under the bed and didn’t allow smoking. You get what you pay for. I could’ve spent another $20 and stayed at the Holiday inn. That’s what I’ll do next time.

My husband and I stay here about twice a month when we’re in town for our outdoor job. It’s a great budget-friendly hotel, with spacious rooms and really comfortable beds. The reception staff have always been super friendly whenever we’ve checked in or out.

I’m here for work and booked a room for 825 for two weeks. Last Monday my coworker told me he got a room at the national 9 in Wellington for 265 a week. When I called that location, they said weekly rates were 310-325. I went to the front desk last Monday and asked to cancel my final week so I could transfer. The person there said that was fine, but suggested I wait until Sunday, the end of my first week. This morning I went to cancel the second week and was told weekly rates aren’t refundable. I pointed out that national 9 in Wellington was $100 cheaper, but she said there was nothing she could do. I don’t understand that, since it’s the same company.

It’s okay, neither the best nor the worst. We needed somewhere to sleep while passing through, and I booked here mainly because they take dogs. Didn’t run into any major problems. You get what you pay for.
