Chauncey Hotel Conference Center

The dining has been the highlight of all my visits to Chauncey. The servers are kind and upbeat, and they always go beyond what’s expected. The food is thoughtful, balanced, healthy, and delicious. I’ve been here often for events and conferences, and the secluded setting is great for getting away with a team to think and dream. Rooms vary, with some cleaner than others, and the front desk staff often seem like they’d rather not be there. I’ll probably return for future events.

We had our wedding at the Chauncey hotel on 10/11, and they made the whole weekend feel easy. Everything was on site, so guests could stay at the hotel and we didn’t need shuttles. The tent had an electric atmosphere, and although I worried it might be too small, it worked beautifully for our 135 people, with space to move around and hang out on the dance floor. The food was incredible, buffet style, and we still hear comments about it. The staff were friendly and fun to work with, and they accommodated every request. I especially want to shout out becki, the venue coordinator. She was so responsive and available at the drop of a hat. Book the Laurie house if you can. Having a private house for the wedding party to get ready and hang out was unmatched. Everyone was blown away. Highly recommend, they made our day perfect.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff were really kind. Still, we’d paid for a king room and were given a room with two regular beds instead. My wife and I had to sleep separately, which made for a really bad weekend celebrating our anniversary. I expected a better experience from this hotel.

The room smelled, the water never got hot enough, and the comforters felt like sheets. The thermostat seemed 100 years old, and it was hard to control the temperature. The front desk woman wasn’t very nice when we checked out. This feels like an ETS guest house, not a hotel, and it doesn’t meet hotel standards. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in for many years. Never again.
