Turnpike Motel

It took a little effort to find, but the price was worth it. The rooms were updated and clean, with new floors and furniture, though the place reminded me of a roadside motel from the 70’s. WiFi was great.

Plenty of outlets for charging, comfortable beds, and restaurants nearby. The staff were really friendly, the prices were reasonable, and it’s the best place I’ve stayed in a long time. Clean, too.

I was visiting my sister and stayed here for a few days. The rates are hard to beat, well below the chain hotels. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was comfier than in some high-end hotels I’ve stayed at. It’s right off I-77, and the desk staff were friendly and helpful.

For two nights, the room cost $100, less than half what other hotels nearby charged. It was neat, clean, very updated, and everything worked. There were lots of USB ports and plugs for charging things or getting work done. WiFi was spotty now and then, but we could stream our shows and work on the computer. The shower was unlike anything I’ve seen, very sophisticated and nice. I’ve stayed in much less impressive rooms at hotels costing twice as much. The only thing I’d ask the owners for is a key for the deadbolts too. The area didn’t feel like a high crime area, and there were no issues with anyone or any other hotel attendants. I’d recommend it mainly for the price, though it’s also a very nice room. No complaints.
