We got a good deal and weren’t expecting much, so it was all right overall. The beds were cozy, the room had been cleaned before we arrived, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Nearby stores, a liquor store, and McDonald’s were handy. Inside, though, the TV didn’t work, the showerhead was too low, the door hung awkwardly and took effort to open and close, and the outlet wouldn’t hold a cord. We could hear people walking upstairs. There were people drinking outside nearby, possibly residents. The pool wasn’t heated and its liner was torn.

I slept better than I have in a while. The beds were comfortable, and it was peaceful. Breakfast was pretty decent too, especially if you’re into waffles. 🧇😊

The pool was out of order during our stay, and earlier reviews make it sound like this may be a recurring problem. That was really disappointing, so check that it’s working before you book. Our room itself was clean and recently renovated, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was basic.

We chose a room by the pool, which worked well for us, and the staff were friendly. The large second-floor porch has a fantastic view of the St Louis River, and it was very quiet. Just take care coming up the driveway, the parking lot is pretty rough.
