It’s easy to be right in the middle of town at The Gaslamp, just steps from great restaurants, shops, drag shows, and other entertainment. The place is beautiful, and the renovated rooms feel cozy and full of character, with antiques and local art mixed together. Jeff and Jim are lovely hosts, and breakfast is delicious. I always enjoy settling into the parlor with coffee and a slice of quiche or a warm scone, chatting with the other guests, and getting some attention from their ridiculously adorable French bulldog, Nathaniel. You can’t go wrong here. Once you’ve visited, you’ll want to come back.

The fall visit was such a treat, with the house feeling cozy and romantic. The remodeled rooms are tasteful and modern while still keeping the original look, and the photos really don’t do them justice. Jeff, Jim, and Nathaniel were excellent hosts. Breakfast each morning was much better than I expected. The Gaslamp is just one block from commercial street, so everything is close by. I’m so glad we chose to stay here. The only thing I’d change is to stay longer!

The Gaslamp feels like a cozy winter wonderland, and it’s even more beautifully decorated in person than it looks in the pictures. The owners make it feel like a home and an oasis, and you can tell they care about their guests having a great experience. It has a real mix of luxury and comfort. I’d highly recommend it for a solo trip or a group stay.

Staying at the Gaslamp for Halloween was such a treat. Cozy, friendly, and perfectly located in P-town, it made for an excellent visit. I’m grateful I got the chance to stay and hope to do it again soon. Can’t wait to return!

The real heart of the experience is Jeff and Jim. They’re warm, friendly, interested in getting to know their guests, and full of good recommendations. Their partnerships with Cape businesses can also mean perks like discounted bike rentals and ferry tickets. This was our second stay, and after the renovation, the rooms are tasteful and cozy with lots of thoughtful details. We loved the claw tub and fireplace in our room. There’s everything you could want for a weekend: a well-placed coffee station, an in-room fridge, a fun hot tub, and, best of all, delicious homemade breakfast. It feels like a true oasis, especially compared with the shrinkflation and aloofness that seem to be creeping into the hotel industry. We and our friends wouldn’t consider staying elsewhere in Provincetown. Thanks for a great visit, see you next year! ❤️
