Harbor Hotel Provincetown

This is a nice little motel/hotel about a mile from downtown. Check-in on Halloween night went smoothly, and the friendly staff were terrific. They even offered us a free room upgrade to a double queen facing the ocean. The beds were comfortable with nice linens, and the bathroom was good, with a small storage area to the side. We had a coffee maker and refrigerator in the room, and there was coffee in the lobby too.

If you're after a quiet, serene beachfront place, this hotel fits. It's around a 40-minute walk from the edge of Provincetown's busy area, so the location may not suit everyone. We found the hotel clean, with spectacular staff and a great room. The pool was beautiful, clean and warm, with nice loungers and lovely greenery behind the hotel. Bike and scooter rentals can be returned right out front, if you're willing to buy an hour bike pass.

Maurice's help saved our anniversary weekend, and next time we're in Provincetown, we'll stay at the Harbor Hotel without a doubt. We had been let down by another hotel, which put us in a room with a wedding reception right outside. They were fully booked and couldn't move us, so I called Harbor Hotel in a pinch. Maurice answered and offered a few rooms. We chose one with a king bed overlooking the pool. After we explained what had happened, he took care of us right away and even pulled strings to arrange a shuttle to our dinner reservation. He was kind, helpful and generous, giving us champagne-level service. The room was much bigger than the first hotel's, very clean, and quiet. Maurice may never know how much his help meant to us. Our original plan was ruined, but he rescued the weekend.

The rooms are clean and modern, and I only wish I'd come in warmer weather so I could enjoy the pool and fire pit. KRISTA was friendly and accommodating at check-in, and Sean was personable at checkout. Don't let the motel look from outside put you off. I highly recommend this economical option.
