Wingate by Wyndham Pueblo

The room was clean, the rooms were nice, and breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. The location was okay. My bathroom had plumbing issues, though, and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night on two nights. There was also a chirping alarm on the second floor that clearly needed new batteries.

The bed was great, the room had the amenities I liked, and the service was great. I especially liked the accessible grab bars in my room. It was on the top floor, just right for me. Breakfast was tasty, with hot eggs, biscuits and other things. I’ll stay here again.

The shower was unusually nice, and I’ll definitely stay here again. The price was reasonable, the service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the room was clean and comfortable. Renovations were underway, but the place still looked elegant and welcoming.

During renovations I had to try three rooms before finding one with working outlets by the bed. The first two had holes where the outlets should’ve been. That was a real problem because I use a medical device that needs electricity. Then, while my wife and I were in bed, teenage boys from the football team opened our door. I’ll own that I didn’t use the security latch, but I never expected someone to open the door. The front desk apparently hadn’t changed our room assignment and had double booked it. When I called right away, the employee hung up on me. I went downstairs to confront him, and he answered in a mocking, sassy tone and called security. He also said that because I’d signed and had my Wyndham Rewards card on file, he’d charge me for the full 3 nights. My wife and I quickly gathered our things and found another hotel at 10:00 at night. I’ve never felt so disrespected.
