Hyatt Place LAX El Segundo

It’s easy to get to LAX from here, and they have an airport shuttle if you reserve it at the front desk. That was simple to arrange, though LAX traffic gets really heavy, so leave extra time when booking, especially around holidays. The area felt fairly safe, parking was $30 with plenty of spaces, and the room was standard Hyatt Place with nothing to complain about. Breakfast was fine, with the usual things like pancakes and fruit.

After several weeks and multiple follow-ups, I finally got the duplicate $111 parking charge refunded by contacting the General Manager directly. Before my stay, I had paid ParkRoll $34 for three days of parking and showed the receipt at check-in, where staff confirmed the reservation would be honored. But afterward I found another $111 charge, $37 per day, for that same period. I emailed the hotel several times with proof of the prepaid booking and also called, but got no response. Hyatt customer service couldn't resolve a hotel billing issue either. It took a long time and repeated follow-ups to get an answer.

The hotel restaurant didn’t have much atmosphere, so we walked over to the Marriott next door for dinner on its rooftop terrace. The rooms themselves were clean, in great shape, and felt updated. Breakfast was decent and included. Parking costs $37 a day.

The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were warm and friendly. Beckett's had a magnificent breakfast, and the fitness center was well equipped with a great view. I also got to see the Main Event room, which looks out over the airport and city. It would be a great venue for a party or conference. We had an amazing time. Thanks, Hyatt, for a great stay.
