Shea, the innkeeper, is so sweet and makes a terrific breakfast. We had a mini honeymoon here this past weekend, and the house was gorgeous. The furniture and decorative touches felt luxurious, and everything we sat on was incredibly comfortable. The suite's bathroom was amazing, with a spa tub beside a fireplace and a walk-in rain shower. We also had hot stone massages in the room, which were relaxing and well worth it. Everything was very clean and smelled wonderful. Shea was decorating for Christmas while we were there, and it all looked beautiful. We plan to come back for every anniversary, and any other time we need a relaxing getaway.

The host, Shea, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the suite, which was first class: a fantastic rain shower, a jacuzzi tub beside the fireplace, and a very comfortable bed. The sunroom was relaxing, with a great view of Lake Michigan. Everything was clean, from the sheets and towels to the rest of the room, and there were thoughtful touches like chocolates and bottled water. The inn is beautifully renovated. There are lovely shared spaces, including a little library and a fireplace where I'd happily read or nap. A nice park and green space by the lake is close by for walking the dog. The inn itself sits on a pretty, safe looking street beside the lake, lined with old mansions, though some areas three to five blocks away seemed shady. We'd totally return and recommend it, five stars all the way.

The manager called while we were on the way and said breakfast wouldn't be served, which was a letdown, but so be it. I also didn't sleep well either night. The bed was high, too soft, and too small for me. Still, I couldn't have been more impressed with the home itself. We had the three room master suite, with a bedroom, a very large bathroom, and a sitting and dining room with a huge picture window over Lake Michigan. The shared rooms, including the living room and library, were beautiful. If you're staying in Racine, stay here. You'll be impressed.

The lake view is breathtaking, and it's just a quick walk or drive down the hill to get there. The whole property is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Shay, the innkeeper and host, was professional, kind, and accommodating. I forgot to tell her about my food allergy before we arrived. When I mentioned it, she thoughtfully made me something special for breakfast so I wouldn't be stuck with just cereal or toast. That meant more than she may know. We'll definitely be back.

Shay suggested the SCJohnson wax tour, which turned out to be a great unexpected treat. The host was friendly and helpful, and the location was great. We had a lovely room with a fireplace in both the bedroom and bathroom, plus a nice weekend breakfast. There are comfortable sitting areas with fireplaces throughout the main floor and big windows looking out at Lake Michigan.
