Candlewood Suites Radcliff - Fort Knox

The customer service is what makes this little hotel stand out, and I can tell you it punches well above its weight. It’ll be my first choice whenever I’m back in the area. Google labels it two stars, between the three star Hampton and HI Express, but I’ve paid hundreds more per night for rooms where I felt less at home. It’s not fancy, and there’s no daily housekeeping, but the full kitchens, dishes, and laundry room have saved me a lot of hassle.

The front desk was rude, the rooms smelled musty, and people in the lot looked like they were dealing drugs. I wouldn’t give this place a single star, whatever its two star listing says. Candlewoods as a whole have gone way downhill, but this one takes the cake. Think Econolodge or Rodeway Inn. Never again.

I thought this place deserved five stars already, but Wendy, I think, really went out of her way when bad weather meant I needed to extend my stay. She handled my reservation through a system outage, and even though I thought I’d have to switch rooms, they let me keep my one bedroom. Great service 👍

Jennifer at the front desk was friendly and professional, and the customer service was excellent. We were passing through from Houston Tx, and it was our first stay at a candlesuites hotel. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend it.
