Ragged Point Inn and Resort

The views and atmosphere are inspiring, and the place is perfectly located for a leisurely drive up or down the 1. Our room was clean and comfortable, though modest in an old-school way. The shop has boutique sodas, candy, and local gifts, and the restaurant was really good, especially the desserts and drinks. The staff were all great and accommodating. We booked largely because it welcomes dogs, though there's an additional fee. Wi-Fi worked reasonably well during our stay, but it's known to be spotty. I actually enjoyed the time with less connectivity, though it's good to know if you need reliable access. We'll likely be back.

Yvonne at the front desk was so helpful and knew how to address our concerns. She gave excellent customer service, a 5 from me. The first night, our spacious room had a fireplace and sat on the cliffside overlooking the ocean, with a refrigerator and microwave. On the second day, though, the room wasn't what I expected. Still, I'd definitely return and highly recommend the place to future tourists. More fun in Ragged Point.

The vegetarian food we ordered was unbelievable. We had our birthday dinner outside by the firepit, and the photos we took reminded us days later how fantastic it was. Our November trip had three straight days of fog, so a fireplace, a good story, and a decent cup of coffee would have been welcome. We had the first two, but the coffee maker never made a decent cup. Room service came by and were just as frustrated as we were. They said all the coffee makers worked poorly, even though the machines weren't actually broken.

I like that the Wi-Fi is spotty. It nudges you to enjoy the sea, the fireplace, and the people you're with. The views are worth a million dollars, and the prices are decent. Rooms are spacious and clean, and every employee has been friendly and gracious. This is my second stay, and I love it here. Keep doing what you're doing at Ragged Point.
