The Casso, Raleigh, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Our double queen room had a huge window and a nice city view. The mattresses were quality memory foam, though a little too soft for me since I prefer a firm bed. The laminate floors could've felt cold, but cozy rugs kept our feet warm. The room and property seemed safe, clean, and well cared for, and I'd gladly stay again. We were there for a few nights over the holidays. The hotel sits above a convenient parking structure, with several spaces for Casso guests on the lowest level. It looked recently built or remodeled, with a fresh, modern feel. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The main floor bar and restaurant looked inviting, but we didn't get a chance to try them.

Jackie and Chris, the morning bartenders, were the best part of our stay. They were very kind and had a lot of personality, and the music at brunch was a nice touch. The rooms were clean, though the hotel was noisy. It was just okay for the price. The website made it seem more like a boutique hotel than it actually was.

The Casso was a great place to bring family and friends together for my wedding weekend. Danae helped me arrange a room block that suited our group and get a corner king room. They even gave us a sweet little wedding goodie bag. I loved the modern style with Raleigh roots, and the hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly and mixed great cocktails. So many places downtown are within walking distance. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a central spot.

I stayed one night over the weekend in downtown Raleigh, and the hotel was nicer than I expected. The inside was trendy, the staff were all friendly, and the spacious room had a great bathroom. It felt worth the money and is close to restaurants. My only issue was the bed, which was so soft I sank into it. I prefer a firmer mattress, but that's just personal preference. I'd definitely recommend it for a downtown visit.
