Homewood Suites by Hilton Ontario-Rancho Cucamonga

The check-in clerk was great, and the rooms were decent, though a little tired. After that, service was a major problem. They forgot to make up our room on Saturday. When we called Sunday to ask about cleaning that day, they said checkouts had them too busy to fit us in and they'd clean it Monday, our checkout day. We said that wouldn't work; all we got was “Oh well. Sorry.” Since they never cleaned, we couldn't get more soap after finding the shower dispenser empty. The other bottles were locked down, so we couldn't easily take soap into the shower. The hair dryer was extremely loud and set off the smoke alarm for several minutes. Nobody called to check if there was a fire. When we asked for a replacement, they said to come down to the desk because they had plenty. We were still getting ready and wondered why they couldn't bring it up. We tried opening the windows to clear the air, but one was so rickety we thought it might fall out. The TV remote batteries were nearly dead too. Hilton should do better.

My room had just been renovated and was comfortable. When I need to stay over a weekend, I usually try for a Homewood Suites or something similar because I sometimes like to cook for myself. This time there were so many excellent restaurants within walking distance that I didn't even scratch the surface. I'll stay again.

I've been at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Rancho Cucamonga (off Mission Vista) since July 2, and the whole extended stay has been phenomenal. The hotel stays clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the team gives consistent warm, efficient service. Everyone I've dealt with, from housekeeping and maintenance to event staff, the General Manager, and the Assistant General Manager, has been professional and caring. It really feels like a home away from home. Tianna R. at the front desk deserves special mention. I often work in the lobby and have seen her with all kinds of guests, from busy professionals to families with young kids. She greets people with a smile, handles check-ins and requests quickly and professionally, and makes sure everyone feels welcome. Her patience, attentiveness, and genuine kindness leave a lasting impression. She represents the best of Hilton. Thank you to the whole Homewood Suites Rancho Cucamonga team for keeping such a high standard. Your dedication has made this stay outstanding.

The location was great, the room was clean, and the kids enjoyed the breakfast. The rest of our experience was rough, and I don't recommend the place. Check-in is really at 4 pm, not the stated 3 pm, and they question whether you're handicapped. The beds are very old and squeak all night. Showering sets off the smoke alarm, which they only turn off when maintenance is there; then maintenance doesn't believe you were only showering and hadn't lit anything on fire. The windows only open a few inches, and you need to prop them with a cup to keep them open. You can set the AC no lower than 68 degrees, but after three days the room never got below 71.
