Rancho Viejo Resort and Country Club

The brunch was lovely, with wonderful mead, good food, and piano music playing the whole time. The area is nice for residents, with great views and green plants to walk among. We had a great dinner with friends and family on 2/11/20, and both the food and the taco buffet my wife had were great. The servers were friendly, too. On 03/06/2020, they finally cut down that patch of weeds, and it looks much better now. I still don’t understand why the staff weren’t keeping the grass maintained. Before that, part of the golf course lawn looked so bad and ugly. We had a good time with family, and it seems like a nice place to live.

We’ve been coming here for years, but this guy in a Batman suit keeps wandering around asking us for change. We say no, then he goes on about being a billionaire and asks us to buy him a meal. He smells terrible and is hard to get away from. It’s a bad look for the club. We come here to get away from this kind of stuff, and I wish the club would make sure he stays away.

The staff were really friendly and attentive, and when we told the front office about the A/C problems, they fixed them right away. The resort itself is beautiful, though a bit older. The beds felt too firm, and we had trouble with roaches and spiders.

For the price, this is an affordable country club with good quality, and there’s nothing else like it in our area. They’ve recently updated the menu and made other changes, which are great. Come check it out!
