The room was filthy, with urine around the bathtub, toilet, floor, and bathroom door frame, plus smashed bugs and other unidentifiable stuff on the wall. The sheets weren’t clean either. They kept my deposit, and when I called to ask about the dog bowls we’d left behind, they said I could pick them up, then threw them away before we got there. Very poor business.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody, not even inmates. Staff acted like I was bothering them when I asked for help, and they charge extra if you bring a pet or child, even though the room is already a dump. The chairs looked filthy, and there wasn’t any carpet. At night it was noisy, and the room was so dim I could barely see around without a flashlight. There was one bedside lamp and a useless fan lamp. The TV was postage stamp sized, there’s no breakfast, and the towels are paper thin. The sheets had holes, the tub and shower had no grab bar, and the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up unless I held it by hand. Dangerous.

Sam made a stressful trip much easier, starting with my first call before we even reached town. He was kind, accommodating, and let us extend our reservation as often as we needed. I’m really grateful for what he did, especially given our situation. The place stayed fairly quiet, and housekeeping mostly left us alone while checking in as they passed to see if we needed more towels. There’s a large grassy area around the building for walking dogs, and pets are welcome. Our room was roomy, had comfortable beds, a large mini fridge, and cold AC. I liked the furniture too, including the pullout sofa and narrow desk with a rollout table that tucked underneath. There are several bed sizes, including a three queen room that worked perfectly for a family member. No bugs or other room problems.

We were in there for about 10 minutes, lights still on, and left because of the cockroach. When we told them, they said, “Your leaving over a cockroach”. Yes, we are. The place smelled like vomit and death, and the stove, fridge, and bathroom were dirty. The bed looked like the sheets hadn’t been washed in months. They kept $50 for the dogs instead of refunding everything, even though we basically walked in and straight back out. Can’t imagine staying the night. I’d give negative stars if I could. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! 🪳🪳🪳🪳
