Melissa at the front desk worked nonstop and seemed to be everywhere in the lobby. She’s the kindest, hardest working person I’ve ever met in Boston, and she made our stay so much more pleasant. My family and I stayed for two weeks and absolutely loved it. The room, fitness area, and lobby were clean and comfortable, and having the indoor pool every day was a favorite convenience. My one dislike was the wheat pancakes. We’re Diamond members and have stayed at quite a few Home2 Suites, and it seems they all offer wheat pancakes, which taste disgusting. I contacted corporate about this horrible choice.

The stay had a few hiccups. I chose a room through the Hilton Honors App at the end of a hallway so my dogs wouldn’t be in a high traffic area and would be quieter, but I was put right next to the lobby. My digital key didn’t work until several hours after check-in, and my key card stopped working before checkout, which was before the 12noon checkout time. Even so, it was a good stay and I’d definitely come back. The room was comfortable and well designed, and I really appreciated having a nice place for me and my two dogs. Home2 Suites being dog friendly is great. The high ceilings, solar shade, room darkening shade with a choice of both, and comfy little sofa were nice, too.

I’d give this place zero stars if it wouldn’t take away from the genuinely kind and outstanding staff here. Management and reception need to be revised. Check-in last night was easy, and the front desk was so kind. The room was beautiful and everything seemed perfect. This morning felt completely different. The GM is a joke, and the woman at the desk stared at me from the moment I got off the elevator. It made me really uncomfortable, especially when I had to return downstairs because my key card didn’t work. I understand there are security protocols, but she watched me get off the elevator even though it was very obvious I was a hotel guest. My reservation was under a different name, and instead of being understanding, she was rude, then tried to backtrack and act kind. It was embarrassing.

The main frustration was housekeeping. The room flip chart said towels would be replaced if left on the floor on light cleaning days and full cleaning days. They never replaced them on light cleaning days, and after full cleaning we got one bath towel and no wash cloths. We had to ask the desk for towels every day. The desk staff were very courteous and helpful. We stayed seven days. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean too. We enjoyed the stay aside from the towel issue. We tried the digital key the morning before leaving, but a full day after we arrived it still said something went wrong. We had selected a room, but at check-in were told it wasn’t available. After about 20 minutes and multiple texts between the clerk and manager, they got us a room like we wanted.
