Very Good Featured review

The breakfast was much better than I expected after reading the reviews. There was plenty of food and drink to choose from, though the setup was a little odd. The room was clean, the man who checked us in was friendly, and the pool was good, although it could use a proper scrub. We stayed two nights, and there was no conditioner in the shower. When room service came, they took our towels but didn't leave anything behind. I also got an extra charge after I got home, and nobody could explain what it was for. Those things are why I gave four stars instead of five. I enjoyed the stay and would come back.

The staff were really friendly and had our key ready, which was an easy five stars. After that, though, things went downhill. The room looked dated, the TV was tiny, and the cover over the peephole was broken. At least the bed was very comfortable and the heating and AC worked great. The bathroom had a nice-looking updated shower, but there was a strange blue growth on the showerhead. I wondered if there was also some mild growth around the base of the pan. It was the first time I chose not to shower at a hotel.

Enid deserves a shout-out. She was so sweet, pleasant, and caring, and just an amazing worker. The room was clean, and so was the hotel. My one complaint is that breakfast was the same every day for all seven days I stayed. It would have been nice to have tea or coffee available through the day too, since it was cold, instead of only at breakfast.

Every Fairfield Marriott I stay at seems the same. The pool is either closed for repairs or dirty and disgusting, so you can never use it. The shower water barely gets hot, either.

There are lots of restaurants nearby, and the hotel was quiet with a comfortable bed. The room looked a bit worn and could use a refresh. Breakfast was disappointing, which is unusual for a Marriott stay.
