Ramada by Wyndham Oklahoma City Airport North — S Meridian Area I wouldn’t recommend staying here based on how my deposit was handled. I paid for the room online, then was still asked for a $40 deposit. After checkout, they kept it and said they were charging a $25 smoking fee, despite my having said I didn’t want a smoking room. I was told all the rooms are non-smoking because of fire department rules, which makes that fee especially hard to understand. The front desk woman had told me I owed no fees and would get my deposit back within three business days. The booking and check-in hadn’t clearly explained that a charge like this might be applied, so I felt the billing was inconsistent and unfair. I hope management communicates fees better and handles deposit disputes fairly. Guests should get the policies in writing and ask for documentation about deposits or possible charges. I’m left feeling taken advantage of by an unexplained charge. ⭐ 0/5. Would not recommend.

The rooms were kept up well, and the beds were very comfortable. I’d stay again, and I appreciated how competently the leadership handled a couple of difficult situations without letting them escalate. During my four-night stay, police came into the lobby looking for a suspect while I was checking in. The area, with several hotels nearby, seemed to attract shady characters, though the outside of the building was well lit and security patrols were easy to see. I didn’t encounter law enforcement again during the stay. There was also a flood from a burst sprinkler on the third floor down to the lobby. The fire department responded, and by the next day it looked as if it had never happened. Thank you, Ramada!

The room itself was awful, and I wouldn’t recommend this dump. I was in room 217, where I could hear every step from the person walking around in the room above at all hours, and each step made my ceiling fan shake. The rooms are nasty, and the hallways reek of weed. There seem to be families living there, with pots in the windows and curry smells in the halls. The rude Indian lady Susie told me “gimme 5 minutes” as soon as I walked in, even though there was no line. They keep the $50 deposit for days. At 02:40 am, night management spent hours knocking on other guests’ doors, threatening to call security if they didn’t answer and accusing them of having unauthorized visitors. At breakfast they watch you closely so you don’t take food to your room, or they’ll charge you. They also charge for early check-in. Absolutely the worst hotel I’ve stayed at.

I left feeling comfortable and happy. The front desk clerk who checked me out this morning had all my things ready and remembered to arrange my shuttle to the airport. Thank you, ma'am, and thank you, Ramada, for choosing such good front desk staff. That encounter made my day even better.
