There’s a lovely park right across the street and a creek nearby, which made this little town a pleasure to stay in. We also took day trips to Nashville and other spots around the area for hiking and shopping. We first came to Armour's Hotel & Spa in July of 2022, and we’ve returned several times since. The rooms are comfortable, each with its own creative decor, and the hospitality has been unmatched. I tried the mineral bath, vibro acoustic therapy, and BioMat, and highly recommend all three. Each time, I felt better both physically and mentally. The food is incredible too, with fresh local ingredients and amazing flavors.

My mom, sister, and I came for the spa, and the vintage feel of the beautiful old building was part of the charm. We booked the full spa package with the mineral baths and therapy beds. For two hours of relaxation, we thought it was very affordable. The baths were deeply relaxing, and my skin felt detoxified afterward. I also enjoyed the amethyst biomat. Listening to a guided meditation while lying on it added to the experience. I’d definitely recommend this unique place :)

The owners, Mark and Kally, were super nice, and the hospitality made us feel welcome. This place has such a unique, old-time feel, like stepping back into another era. The spring water felt healing for my bones and skin, and the food was fantastic, delicious home-cooked meals. I can’t wait to come back for another visit. Thanks for the hospitality!

Our group of 12-13 rooms has been coming to the Armour’s for over 16+ years, but the last two visits were disappointing. The room rates rose 20% while the rooms didn’t feel worth the price. Food portions and quality dropped as prices went up. Breakfast on Saturday and both dinners were served late, portions were small, and there were no juices at breakfast or salad or green vegetables with dinner. One rider ended up walking to the store for eggs and biscuit so he and his wife would have enough before the ride. We felt nickeled and dimed on restaurant charges and saw corners being cut with the food. When some people asked for seconds, they were scoffed at. On Friday, one of our women was asked to check everyone in. We got no credit for doing that ourselves, despite being charged 20% more. On Saturday morning, customers expected coffee service with cups, sugar, creamer, hot water, and working pots, but the owner blamed poor planning and service on our group, and Mark was rude to some of us. It also seemed there wasn’t enough staff. The front porch hasn’t changed in 12 years: dirty, dusty, torn and worn furniture, neglected flower pots, and weeds. When we left Sunday, the owners didn’t speak to us or ask how our stay was, thank us for coming, or discuss next year. Not even a goodbye or handshake. Definitely not the southern Tennessee friendliness and hospitality we expected. The juice is not worth the squeeze.

We wanted some time away for sisters to relax, and that’s exactly what we did. The room was just right for the two of us, and we were pampered with freshly cooked food and fantastic recipes that even accommodated my food restrictions. We played chess and worked on a puzzle they had out. It’s a lovely place. The spa was different from what I expected, but I found it very enjoyable and relaxing. They haven’t owned it long, so hopefully they can grow the business and repair the outside of the building and the yard. If you want downtime to read, relax, and escape from the world, this is your place.
