The room was big, and the king bed was comfortable. The pillows felt a little thin for side sleeping, though. We liked how the bathroom had the toilet, sink, and shower together in one room, so someone getting up early wouldn't disturb everyone else. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. It's a budget-friendly place in a small town, so traffic wasn't a problem. Wi-Fi didn't reach our room at the back of the property, but that wasn't a big deal since our phones had strong 5G. And the room didn't have that industrial-cleaner smell you get in a lot of budget hotels.

We found this gem surprisingly affordable, and the room was spotless. After a long day of driving, that wonderful bed was especially welcome. The young couple who run the motel were pleasant and accommodating. It's in a quiet area, about 1.5 miles from the center of town, and would work well for a traveler or someone staying longer. I highly recommend this delightful motel in Red Bud, Illinois!

We had a pleasant stay and I'd come back. The motel was convenient for dining in such a small town, and our room was clean and comfortable. The gentleman at reception was friendly and pleasant, and they paid attention to what we needed.

The rooms have new microwaves and refrigerators, and they're not the cheap kind. Everything was very clean, and everyone in this family-run motel was friendly and polite. The owners clearly take pride in the place. A very nice motel, highly recommended.

(2026) We had another wonderful stay at the Red Bud Country inn. The owners are very kind, and we keep recommending the place and sending people their way. The location is perfect. (2025) My wife and I stayed at this little hotel in Red Bud for a mini “staycation.” I’ve traveled all over the USA and stayed in all kinds of places, from the Plaza Hotel to the Pine tree Inn, but a family-run hotel like this is my kind of place. They’re always checking whether you need anything, and it feels SAFE and VERY CLEAN. It’s PERFECT if you’re into thrifting, doing some St Louis shopping, or working and need a nice clean place to stay. You can reach Waterloo, Belleville, St Louis, and what you need in about a 30-minute drive, so you don’t have to stay in the city, which I don’t recommend.
