Aileen was so kind and really made our stay feel special. I’m grateful for her, and I’d stay here again if I come back. The hotel is cute and dog friendly, and it’s really close to Vail. The town is tiny, though, with just one restaurant and unusual hours, so stock up on food, snacks, and drinks before you arrive.

The late arrival worked out smoothly. I got in after the front desk had closed, but they texted me everything I needed to enter the room and use the hotel wifi, which matters since there’s no cell service at all in Red Cliff. For an overnight near Leadville, this place did the job and cost half as much as Leadville hotels. It was easy to find, parking was convenient, and the room was clean. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was hot with good pressure. I’d stay here again if I need another overnight stop. Red Cliff is a very quiet little village, and its one restaurant closes at 8. If you’re coming in late like I did, eat beforehand or bring food with you.

We keep coming back to the Green Bridge Inn, and Aileen, Stan and Joey from the GBI staff make each stay even better. It’s hard to beat the location. Mango’s Mountain Grill is right across the street, and their fish tacos are the best. Shrine Ridge Trail is only minutes away if you’re looking to hike.

I’m really glad I picked this hotel for our winter stay in the Avon / Vail area. It’s a peaceful spot in Red Cliff, though still only about a 20-25 minute drive from the bigger towns. The woman at the front desk was friendly and got us checked in quickly and efficiently. The drive there is beautiful, right by the red cliffs and green bridge that give the hotel its name. We had lovely views from the room, and it was squeaky clean. The bathroom was spotless and beautifully designed. It made for a relaxing, memorable stay.
