Chateau Rouge

Townhouse 201 had plenty of room to spread out, and the beds were absolute heaven. It was very clean and cozy, with dishes and most cooking basics. Bring your own spices, oil, and the like if you plan to make anything beyond frozen dinners or reheating. The hot tub felt deluxe after a day riding at Red Lodge Mountain. It’s a short drive to the mountain and about a 20-minute walk to town. Chateau Rouge is nicely situated. The managers were very nice, respectful, and quick to respond. I’d love to stay for a week.

The new property managers, as of Fall 2024, are amazing, and the place has never been cleaner. The pool and hot tub were crystal clear, and the common room was beautiful, clean, and cozy. You can see deer and turkeys out the back door, and we’ve even spotted moose out front. Parking right in front of the unit is excellent. It’s right at the turn toward Red Lodge Mountain, so it’s a perfect spot for skiing. The actual fireplaces in the condo units make for a nice way to relax afterward. We stayed several times and recommend unit 204 for families: it has two bedrooms, is kid-friendly, and is only steps from the pool in a separate building. I could ski in the morning, bring my little ones back for naps, then return to the mountain. The walls between units are cinder block, so you don’t hear anything from the neighboring units.

We’ve stayed here many times for different occasions, and this visit has been amazing. In the past, the rooms weren’t clean, had trash, and smelled bad. We kept coming for the kids anyway. The front desk used to smell like cat pee, and we couldn’t use the front room. Now it smells amazing, and the whole family can hang out, play games, and lounge there. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The kids are already in the pool, and we don’t have to worry about random non-hotel guests getting in. The new owners are friendly and reassuring. They said to let them know if something wasn’t working or needed cleaning or fixing, and they’d come right down. I’d recommend this place over and over. We’ll enjoy our evening and absolutely be back.

The rooms were huge, spotless, and very comfortable, and the beds were super comfortable too. The indoor pool and hot tub were great. The staff were so friendly and made the day that much better. It was an incredible value, worth every cent, and one of the best places I’ve stayed. I can’t say enough good things about it. If you get the chance, stay here. You won’t be disappointed.
