Comfort Suites Redmond Airport

Clean and comfortable, with an okay breakfast that isn't anything fancy. It's just south of Redmond, so both Redmond and Bend are convenient to get to. The parking is a little way from the entrance, which isn't too strenuous unless you have mobility limitations.

The staff were amazing, the beds were very clean, and there was lots of room. But the internet was so bad I couldn't stream a movie without constant buffering, so I gave up. It felt like dial-up. If a hotel is supposed to be a home away from home, it should have internet more like what you get at home. The shower had almost no pressure, though the water stayed hot. Not a bad hotel if you just need somewhere to sleep.

The front desk said they'd heard this complaint before from laptop users, and suggested a security setting on my MacBook Pro was the issue. That doesn't make sense to me, since I've used cafe and airport WiFi without trouble. I could connect to the hotel's WiFi, but couldn't actually get internet on my laptop. This is a huge dealbreaker, and they said they couldn't help.

The hotel was clean and spacious, but I got maybe an hour and a half of sleep before getting up for my 5am flight. A dog in my hallway barked on and off all night. I don't understand why dogs are allowed in hotels now, or why people don't leave them at home. It's disruptive and disrespectful to guests who are trying to sleep, and I won't stay here again while dogs and their owners are allowed to take over the place.
