Best Western Plus Sunrise Hotel At Redondo Beach Marina

The location is hard to beat, but it looks like it hasn’t been updated in about 20 years. It wasn’t dirty at all, and the cleaning staff did a great job. I think the dated look just makes it hard to feel super clean, if that makes sense. The staff were nice. The guy who checked me in yesterday was extremely [sic]. The man at the front desk who helped me buy waters was too. One thing to keep in mind: the elevator inspection looks like it expired back in 2025.

The staff were attentive and friendly, and it’s easy to walk to the pier, bars, and restaurants from this really good location. The rooms were super clean. There’s a terrace upstairs with some good views, though nothing was set up there. The only places to hang out inside are the lobby or the small bar area. In the morning, the bar has a Starbucks coffee shop. Special thanks to the barista on the morning of Jan 18th, he was really nice and made a 10/10 latte. The breakfast burrito was honestly very good too.

On my business trip to Los Angeles, I stayed here for a couple of nights. The building is old, but the furniture, appliances, and interior are kept in fairly good shape, and the rooms were relatively quiet. Plenty of restaurants are within walking distance, and public transportation can take you to nearby beaches like Hermosa or Manhattan. The main draw is the location, within walking distance of Redondo beach, in a “less touristy” part of Los Angeles if that’s what you’re after. I personally prefer staying at Hermosa Beach, but there don’t seem to be many Hiltons there.

We found the location perfect for our company meetings and conferences. The meeting rooms are spacious, and the outdoor patio has nice harbor views. The amenities were fantastic, with the pier, beach, restaurants, and grocery stores all nearby. Bernice and Kylie deserve a special thanks for being available and cooperative, and for helping make our event a success.
