Sara, Cherie, Cesar, and the event staff worked hard behind the scenes to make our fairytale wedding happen. The food was outstanding, and our guests kept talking about how delicious it was. The recently renovated reception tent and bar area really lifted the space. The ceremony area fit our 120 guests perfectly. We wanted a quiet, intimate setting in a small town tucked away in the Crystal River Valley, and the historic venue felt like stepping into a fairytale. From beginning to end, the experience was wonderful and met or exceeded our expectations at every turn. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

We’re often at Redstone Grill when we’re nearby caring for my elderly aunt, and it’s become a dependable favorite for a good meal. The staff are reliably friendly and efficient, attentive without hovering, and the cozy interior feels like a welcoming historic saloon. The food is good across the board, with fresh ingredients and dishes that are well prepared. My vegetarian aunt absolutely loves the Brie En Croute, baked brie with seasonal fruit jam, toasted almonds, and cracker bread. It’s rich and flavorful, and enough for her whole lunch. We’d enjoy a few more rotating specials or some variety now and then, since the menu stays much the same all year. The drive on Highway 133 through Crystal River Valley is beautiful, winding past red cliffs, the sparkling river, historic coke ovens, and mountains. It makes the trip a treat in itself. Redstone Grill is a gem in this lovely mountain town, with tasty food, great service, and a relaxing place to eat. We’ll keep coming back.

The beds weren’t very comfortable, and that affected the stay more than it should have. Still, the hotel has plenty of character, having been built in the early twentieth century, and the mountains around it make for a calm, beautiful setting. It stands somewhat on its own. Breakfast was genuinely good and well prepared. There are also old coke ovens nearby, which add an interesting bit of history and make walks around the hotel more engaging.

The main street looked postcard perfect, though the hotel’s beauty topped even that. It’s a historic building with incredible decor, great mountain views, and enough charm to win anyone over. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was the best we’ve had anywhere in Colorado. This is my new favorite mountain town, and the hotel is beautiful. We loved our stay and will be back.

The wedding dinner buffet impressed our guests, as did every other meal they had over the weekend. The new bar is fabulous, and the chalet worked wonderfully for us as a couple, with a great spot for hair and makeup. We booked the whole hotel for the wedding, and everyone was happy with their accommodations. I planned everything without a wedding planner, and it all went off without a hitch. Sara and the team were organized, accommodating, and fun. We had several meetings before the wedding, plus emails and calls, and the dining, concierge, and wedding teams stayed on top of every detail. They let us be ourselves and get creative, with a beautiful backdrop for it all. From start to finish, we had a perfect experience. The staff, weather, and location were all A plus. I can’t think of a better place to visit and get married.
