We only had to put up with the place for two nights, and I won’t be back. The one real plus was the location, near the dells and not too far from house on the rock. The first room smelled disgusting and had black hair all over the shower, even though neither my partner nor I have black hair and we hadn’t used it. I booked through air bnb, and since there was almost never anyone at the desk, I had to contact them that way before they moved us across the hall. The second room was a little better, but the whole place still felt dingy and gross. The fridges barely worked and had stagnant water in the bottom. Water from the hallway fountain tasted foul and made me nauseous. Breakfast was stale bagels and something that didn’t look or smell like coffee. There were no coffee makers in the rooms, so we couldn’t make our own. It’s affordable because it’s disgusting, and everything nearby closes ridiculously early.

The pool was great, the hot tub was hot and its jets worked, and the water and AC/heat were all fine. I came with my family to visit a friend staying here, and we were around for about three days. Each time we came in through the front door, nobody was there to help us. By the third day I still hadn’t seen anyone at the front desk. It feels run down, though work seems to be happening. Cameras watch the hallways upstairs and on the ground floor. Some first-floor ceiling tiles have black mold. I feel bad for the hotel, and only seeing housekeeping staff says a lot about the lack of service. I hope it improves.

The room was just as advertised, and I loved the in-room jacuzzi. But the lobby smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. There were no-smoking signs everywhere, so I don’t know how that happened. Not great. 😅

You get a room for what you pay. The beds were clean, at least, but there were Band-aids in the pool. I couldn’t find a single staff member for my whole stay.

The beds were very comfortable, and there were no bugs!!!! The front desk ladies were nice. 10/10, I’ll stay there again.
