Atlantic Sands Hotel and Confe

We were here for about a week with our family, and the staff were welcoming, helpful, and especially good with families. Our room was clean and well kept, though a little chilly, so bring a sweater or jacket. The walls are thin, and we heard more from the hallway and neighboring rooms than we wanted. The location made things easy with a toddler. The hotel opens right onto the beach and boardwalk, so we could duck back to the room for a potty break or a rest. Kiwi’s Cove is attached and had good food at fair prices. Shops and necessities on Rehoboth’s Main Street were close by for those inevitable family emergencies. For us, the clean room, friendly service, and easy access to the beach and nearby dining made for a memorable stay.

We booked an ocean view room for three nights at Atlantic Sands Hotel in mid-November, but construction noise woke us the next morning. Hearing workers drilling right overhead while trying to relax on vacation was unpleasant. The hotel should have mentioned the construction on its website or during booking, or at least at reception. We couldn’t stay in that room, so they offered us another with a side ocean view, which worked well. The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views. It was hard to get hot water for tea.

This was our first time here, and our family had a wonderful visit. We used to hold this event in Williamsburg VA, but moving it here has worked out really well for us. Suzanne was so helpful while our group was there. She was friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of.

We’ve stayed here three times within three months, and haven’t had anything negative to report. The oceanfront room has a beautiful view, and the rooms are clean. Housekeeping is friendly, too. When we had a small issue in our room, the staff fixed it right away. They also know the area and can tell you about events that might interest you.
