We stayed four days for our 30th anniversary, and everyone made us feel at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, and hearing how well they are treated made us feel good. The man at the desk was especially warm and kind, like we'd known him forever, and seemed ready to do anything for us. The antiques throughout give the place a museum feel, with warm burgundy and red colors. The pool was spotless and relaxing to sit beside. We'd come back. Feeling welcome again makes it a win-win.

The service was amazing, and the location is hard to beat. One of the parrots seemed to take a liking to my wife and hopped onto her shoulder a few times. Staying here almost feels like going back in time. We live fairly nearby but wanted a nice Super Bowl weekend getaway. The off-season rate helped convince us to book a room with a two-person jacuzzi. I've stayed at the Ritz-Carlton a few times, and they could learn a thing or two from this place.

Our five-year-old loved the birds in the lobby, the elevator with its ocean views, and the fluffy beds just as much as my husband and I did. I worried the hotel might not suit a young child because some floors are adults only, but that atmosphere didn't extend throughout the hotel. She was welcomed, and we all enjoyed its unique character. We booked an oceanfront queen suite for a quick weekend away at schellville. The beds were really comfortable, there were outlets everywhere for charging, and we could make delicious coffee in the room while watching the Sunrise. It was a perfect stay, and we'll definitely be back. We didn't try the food or room service, though there seemed to be plenty of options.

April at the front desk was so nice, and the birds around the lobby and pool are adorable. The rooms are clean and have an old-world feel, and the pool is warm without being too warm. The location is perfect. Such a charming place to stay.

After Easter dinner, we wandered around the lobby and felt like we'd been taken back in time. My partner and I loved the meal, the service made us feel at home, and the ambiance was lovely. It's a fabulous location, and we'll be back.
