The beds were comfortable, but I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, including yelling, crying, screaming, and sex. My room phone also didn’t work, and the room felt sticky and gross. I arrived late after driving 13 hours through a wild snowstorm. The rooms aren’t connected to the front desk, and the parking lot hadn’t been shoveled or cleared. I had to push the baggage cart through the snow, soaking my shoes and pants.

The decor is fun and modern, and the hotel feels upscale without being stuffy or too expensive. You can walk to the airport in about 20-30 minutes. There’s no free or continental-style breakfast. They do have good-quality food, though it comes at vacation prices.

The grounds work well for sports teams visiting Reno, with lots of room to gather and let the kids run around. The pool is large, though it isn’t heated. Our room was clean, and the modern design has limited flooring and no carpet, which was nice. The beds were comfortable, if a little soft. My one issue was housekeeping. We asked to have the room made up, were out during the afternoon after being there at cleaning time between games, and came back to find it untouched.

The staff were welcoming and polite, and the location was good. Our room was clean and very dog-friendly, but the pool was out of commission and nobody told us. We would have booked somewhere else if we’d known. The shower and tub were heavily scratched, discolored, and peeling, so they didn’t feel clean enough to use. The baseboards and other furniture were peeling too. It was disappointing to pay a nonrefundable pet fee and a $100 deposit when the room was so damaged and the pool wasn’t working. The stay was good otherwise.
