Hampton Inn Seattle/Southcenter

Denea made our trip fabulous. We saw her at the front desk most of the time, and she was always smiling and pleasant. She took great care of us and handled every need. We felt like welcomed guests, not just people renting a room. We chose this hotel for our Seattle vacation because it cost much less than staying downtown. It's minutes from the 1 Train, and the complimentary shuttle to and from the station made getting downtown quick and easy. The room was clean with comfortable bedding. The two-queen room felt cramped, though, and didn't have comfortable seating. Breakfast was hot and varied, with plenty of protein and potatoes.

Jahiah and the rest of the staff were awesome. I felt safe and at home, especially on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Breakfast was great, particularly the southwest egg omelets with cheese and green and red peppers. The fitness center is open 24/7 and has up-to-date equipment.

Our flight day was a tough one, with lots of delays and cancellations, and we were stranded at the airport during Seattle's first snowfall in years. The staff were kind and accommodating. The shuttle driver worked to make sure everyone was taken care of, and the front office team were excellent too. It's a little under ten minutes from SeaTac airport. Thanks for a great stay at a challenging time.

Our room already had a spider roaming around the bed when we arrived. We checked in after 1:00 am, but about ten minutes after we got into the room, the front desk clerk called us. The mechanical blinds didn't work properly either. The hotel shuttle driver had clocked out for the evening, so we took a taxi from the airport. I respectfully asked Julie Fenner, Assistant General Manager, for a $25 credit toward the fare, but she said the booking was through a third party and no credit of any amount was possible. I'll steer clear of Hampton Inn going forward. If you can, avoid staying near the airport.
