The hotel itself seems fine for a standard three-star stay, but the way they handled my lost retainer left me feeling like I was just a payment they’d already collected. I called five times, including twice before housekeeping cleaned the room, and left a message with the cleaning staff. No luck getting it back. I’m guessing it was thrown away, though I know finding someone’s retainer is pretty gross. I know it was my fault for leaving it behind, but the hotel’s complete lack of concern was hard to accept. Marriott could have made the effort to help a frequent traveler and show that they wanted me to feel good about the brand. If they help me, I’ll delete this review.

We have Titanium Plus status, but that didn’t seem to count for much here. They assigned us a ground-floor room with someone above us who sounded like a 300-pound elephant jumping around nonstop. You can hear everything between floors, so be ready for a lot of noise. Check-in staff acted as if they were doing us a favor, too. If you don’t mind constant noise, this place may suit you.

For a longer stay, the price works well. The room has a small kitchen for making your own meals, and there’s a handy gym. Coin laundry is on the second floor.

Parking costs $18 a day, and the TV system feels outdated. Paid parking is common around here, so I can’t hold that too much against the hotel. The weak TV setup seems to be Marriott corporate’s responsibility, not the property’s. Even with those drawbacks, this was a great stay, and I’ll book here again. It’s the cleanest, best-kept hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and the staff were friendly and really helpful.

I stay at this Residence Inn often, and it’s been a great experience each time. The location is handy for the freeway, restaurants, and the waterfront, and there’s plenty of covered parking. Rooms are roomy and clean, and the hot breakfast buffet has a decent variety. Daiela at the front desk deserves a shout-out. My AC gave me trouble during my last stay, and she sorted it out quickly. She made me feel heard and valued. Thanks, Daiela!
