The zip lines make a fun visit even more adventurous, and sleeping overnight in the teepees turns it into a memorable getaway. We loved the wood-fired pizzas, especially alongside the smooth, flavorful bourbon that feels carefully made. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and knew their stuff. Sandy River Distillery in Farmville, VA has a great setting, food, drinks, and people. Definitely worth a visit.

The courses were a good time and gave us a bit of a workout, too. I brought my family and their friends here during Spring Break last week, and we all had a blast. Our guide was friendly and engaging, gave clear, concise instructions, and was helpful throughout.

We had a perfect lunch after touring the distillery, and the Brie pizza was great. My wife and I stayed in one of the teepees and were pleasantly surprised by its modern, rustic decor. It made for a really relaxing getaway.

Even though it was cold outside, we were very comfortable in the Dreamcatcher tipi overnight, and the fire pit was lovely. We made a last-minute plan to stay with four teenagers, and had a great time exploring the property and seeing the farm animals. They provide everything you could need. Such a unique experience, I highly recommend it.

The tree-trekking adventure ended up being a memorable part of our getaway for all three of us. My girlfriend had been searching for a place like this for me and my son to visit for a few days. We stayed in one of their tipis, cooked cedar wood salmon over the outdoor fire for dinner, spent some time by the pool, and took one of the painting classes they offered. It was a wonderful stay.
