The location is really nice, and the full-size refrigerator is a plus. There’s a cooktop but no oven, and the microwave in my room didn’t work. The rooms are decent, probably fine for a short stay. Breakfast was just okay if you’re starving. Also, the grassy area was full of dog poop. Owners should clean up after their dogs or take them somewhere less likely to get stepped on. It’s a kid-friendly place, but I wouldn’t let kids play in that grass.

We drove seven hours with my wife, our one-year-old, and our two 60 lb dogs, only to be told on arrival that the room could have just one pet. We had to continue the trip, making 14 hours total, because we had nowhere else to go. It was the only affordable place in the area we found that advertised “up to two pets per room” and “no breed or weight restrictions.” They canceled our stay without charging us, but it was still not cool. The pet deposit also wasn’t clearly explained as being per pet, which meant $150 for two. Before booking, we called to confirm the policy because of our dogs’ size. Customer service routed us to a call center that seemed to be in Asia. After the representative put us on hold because they didn’t know the rules, we explicitly asked about our TWO 60 lbs dogs and were told it would be okay. This hotel’s own main website makes the policy clear, but they didn’t follow it. I know the hotel isn’t responsible for how long our drive was, but the misinformation left us in a terrible spot. They told us to put a little lemon juice on the papercut.

The rooms are a good size, clean, and reasonably priced, but the staff are what really stand out. Housekeeping and the morning breakfast team work their butts off to look after guests, and the front desk folks are friendly and helpful. Thanks, Chrissy, DJ, Lydia, Juliet, and Jennifer!

I left my room briefly before official checkout time, then came back to find all of my belongings removed without permission. Nobody called or warned me. That felt like a serious breach of guest privacy and basic hospitality. When I asked staff what happened, I got no clear explanation or apology. I’ve stayed at many hotels and have never experienced anything like this. I’ll be taking legal action and filing formal complaints with corporate and consumer protection agencies. I don’t recommend this hotel in Richardson, Dallas, and I won’t stay here again.
