Quality Inn & Suites Richfield

The women working at breakfast were lovely and helpful without me even having to ask. The rest of the stay was awful. An employee was so rude to my husband and me that our 8-year-old daughter was traumatized and wanted to leave. The room was very dark, with no overhead light and two lamps that didn’t work. There weren’t enough outlets for the lamps, and the room wasn’t very clean. We registered three people for a four-person room, but didn’t have enough towels. I spent ages tracking some down. At 5:30pm, the front desk said housekeeping was still cleaning rooms, but nobody ever came to ours. There were also no towels at the pool for most of our stay. My husband and daughter had to wait to get out while I went to the desk for some. When someone finally got back to me, they handed over one towel and said that was all they could do. I don’t know how they expected two people to manage with one.

We checked in around 6 for our 30-year Unity Convention. At 9:50, my roommate said she’d seen a roach. I spoke with the night desk associate, who offered us another room, but I didn’t feel comfortable moving and asked for a refund of the $255 instead. They said I’d have to wait until morning. Driving back home was a huge inconvenience, and now I have to make the trip back and forth instead of enjoying our convention. There was no hot water at 7:00pm for a comfortable shower either.

We were in town for my 50th high school reunion and stayed four days. The room was fairly large, clean, carpeted, and well equipped, with a very comfortable bed. There’s a big indoor area with a pool, mini-golf course, and kids’ play area. We were too busy with reunion events to use the pool, but it looked inviting. Nice hotel for the price. We were very pleased and would stay here again next time we’re in the area.

There’s loads to keep kids busy in the atrium: an arcade, claw machines, massage chairs, a play area with climbing tubes and slides, putt-putt, a decent-sized pool, hot tub, and kiddie pool. The kiddie pool was closed on this visit, though we’ve used it on earlier stays. It’s an older hotel, but the rooms have had some updates and everything is clean. A comfortable, entertaining place to stay.
