Comfort Suites Near Northeast Mall

The breakfast was good, and the hotel is nonsmoking. The surrounding area seemed quiet, but inside there was noise everywhere: children at the pool could be heard from the second floor, someone nearby was arguing in the hall, and the people above my room sounded like they were stomping around from 7am to midnight. I reported that noise, but it kept going and the night clerk didn’t follow up or do much to stop it. My air barely worked, and I had to wait about 30 minutes for a cleaned room because of late checkouts and early arrivals. Check-in and check-out staff were great, though. It seemed like quite a few guests lived there. It could be a much better place if staff managed noise and set quiet hours. If you’ll be out most of the day and just need an inexpensive bed, it may work, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a restful stay.

The staff made our special weekend and our visitors feel so welcome. We loved the location and the hotel brand so much that we switched all the hotels we had booked for this weekend in Alabama to Comfort Suites. Thanks to the team for making the weekend comfortable. Everyone was supportive and helpful, and everything was so nice.

The room was nice and the staff were very friendly, but our room was ready an hour before anyone told us. We were first told it would take about 30 minutes because guests were checking out at noon, then we waited in the lobby for an hour. The manager eventually checked us in and gave us keys, saying the room would be ready shortly. We took the kids to the indoor pool for an hour, and when we asked again, a staff member said the room had been ready for an hour. I know delays happen, but this was really irritating. The manager also said she would discount the bill, but there was no discount when we got it in the morning.

I’m eight months pregnant and was there with a small child when my close friend and I woke up to huge roaches right by my face the morning after check-in. I’m terrified of bugs, so we called the desk and asked someone to come kill them. We were told the full amount would be refunded, but after checkout the full charge appeared on my bank account, and Comfort Suites pulled it back out the next day. We called general manager Kerry, who said she would not refund the full amount and called me a liar. She was very unprofessional. It’s not my fault the hotel had roaches, and I won’t stay there again. We’ve contacted corporate and hope they resolve it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
