Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Richmond West at I-64, VA

The worst hotel experience. I booked through booking.com and paid before arriving, but the front desk rep, Annie, charged my card anyway, so I was charged twice for one night's stay. I got the manager involved, but that didn't help. He tried charging my card from home and told Annie to stop handling my refund. We had to involve the police. After admitting she'd charged me twice, Annie talked trash about me and my friend in front of another guest. Also, the third elevator only worked going up, not coming back down.

The hotel itself was awesome, but the people we had to deal with had zero customer service skills. The guy on the 800 number was rude, and the woman checking us in was extremely rude too. When I asked what food they'd serve at breakfast, she just said it was in the printout instead of answering. She acted like I was stupid for not knowing what a continental breakfast meant. I asked what foods exactly would be served, and she said, “I am sorry,” as if she meant she was sorry I was stupid. Eventually she did tell me eggs would be served. We stayed Dec the 27 of 2025.

We were checking out when I wrote this, and we won't be back. Sharing the parking lot with 804 night club means the music carries loudly onto the property and makes it hard to sleep. The buffet breakfast was ice cold, so stick with the continental items and skip the eggs, breakfast links, and the rest. Housekeeping was another problem: there were used bandaids and food remnants on the carpet, and although we asked for them to be removed and the room vacuumed, it wasn't done. We also asked for extra pillows and were told we could have only 1 per room. I'm giving it 2 stars because of the housekeeping issues and the many other viable places to stay.

Our room's bed was broken and really uncomfortable, with the right side indented. The shower floor was all scratched up and had orange stains. The lobby, hallways, pool, and hot tub were dirty too. I'd never stay here again.
