Clarion Pointe Ridgecrest near China Lake Naval Station (ex. Motel 6 Ridgecrest)

I was here for a business trip and had a very poor stay. The hotel looks modern at first glance, but the cleanliness was unacceptable: hairs on the floor, marks on the door, and a bathroom with obvious maintenance problems. The breakfast area looked extremely dirty, as if it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. I also saw cockroaches crawling around and have video of them. The pool was too dirty to use. Late at night, people knocked on my door, which made me uncomfortable. The front desk attendant was unprofessional and wore slippers. The place felt unclean, poorly maintained, and unsafe to me. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I felt comfortable and safe here, so I even added another night after my first three. The bed and blankets were clean, fresh, and fluffy, and I slept better than I have in a while. Breakfast was simple, with waffles, coffee, bagels, yogurt, and Nutella.

After two days of tiring hikes and travel, this place felt like a warm hug. The staff were kind, and the clean room was spacious enough. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast had bread, waffles, cereal, juice, and yogurt, with coffee available all day. For the price, it was a steal.

The room was spotless, and Noman at the front desk handled every request with a smile. After a long drive or a day touring death valley, that kind of friendliness really lifts your tired mood. We'd definitely stay here again if we get the chance.
