Days Inn & Suites Ridgeland

When I first arrived, I got the room I'd paid for. It was quiet, in a handy area for people traveling for work, and the place seemed excellent. I've been here about a month, though, and since new staff came on, my room hasn't been cleaned every day like it was before. I'm very upset about it, and now they offer room service late in the afternoon. The previous housekeeping crew had things running right. WHERE DID THEY GO???? Lately there have also been kids running around above my room at 3am. I'm thinking about moving somewhere else. Save yourself the trip and drive past this place. It was good, but now it's bad. Thank God I'm only here temporarily for work.

We spent our first night without a home here, then stayed on and off for three months. At first the hotel was OK, but the room care went downhill while prices went up. On that first night, law enforcement targeted us as potential problems, allegedly. In the end, I'd call the stay average.

The access was especially difficult for me as a wheelchair user. The sidewalk at the entrance sloped dangerously, and several people had to lift my chair onto it to get me to the room. Even the office wasn't accessible. The so-called handicap room didn't have an accessible toilet or shower: the toilet was so low my spouse had to use a gait belt to help me up, and its handrail was only on one side. The shower had no long hose or bench, so I couldn't bathe for three days. There were people gathering and talking loudly outside the room all night. The bedspread gave my husband bed bites, though I didn't sleep under it and didn't get any. After our family gathering, I left at 5am because I was so uncomfortable in bed. I booked online. Horrible experience for disabled guests.

The hotel smelled terrible throughout, and the rooms were outdated. In the morning, people were banging on doors long before checkout. Customer service was terrible, too. I paid extra for a suite, but the first key they gave me opened a standard king room. I went back and they moved me, only for the next room to also be a standard king. They finally admitted the suites were already booked. Other reviews mention the girl's rudeness, and they don't seem to change anything. It looks like they keep double booking suites, taking payment from more people than they can accommodate. I asked for the price difference back and the woman just rolled her eyes, as if I were being difficult when they had charged me for a room they couldn't provide. They gave no refund. They don't care about service, just lying and cheating customers out of money. I'm reporting them to the BBB.
