TownePlace Suites by Marriott Jackson Ridgeland The Township at Colony Park

We stayed here once on the way to Florida and again a week later on the way home. Both visits were great, and I'd stay again. It was the cleanest hotel I've ever been in, with lots of fresh towels and AC that worked really well. Breakfast was very good, and the gentleman kept everything hot and stocked. It's hard to find hotels this clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The room and location were great, but the front desk response wasn't. My TV didn't work, and after I reported it I was told it would be fixed by the time I got back the next day. It wasn't. When I raised it again, the clerk said she hadn't been there and knew nothing about it, and didn't seem interested. I asked to move because I really wanted to watch TV during the week I was there, but she said the hotel was booked and offered little help or concern. I decided to check out early because I needed a working TV. When I told her, she only said I'd be charged for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, then giggled with her coworker. A little concern and an apology for the inconvenience would've gone a long way.

I arrived at TownePlace Suites Ridgeland/Township Colony Park on December 11 as a Gold Elite Marriott Bonvoy member traveling to Jackson, MS. The lobby looked pleasant, and I was checked into room #321. At first, the room seemed inviting, but when I pulled back the comforter to disinfect the sheets, they were filthy. The sheer curtain was clean, while the thicker one had unacceptable stains and spots. I tried calling the front desk three times, then went down myself. No one was there for about five minutes, until a clerk came out of the back room. I explained what I'd found and asked for another room, but was told the hotel was sold out. When I asked for clean linens, I was told housekeeping had left for the day. The clerk got some sheets from a closet and asked me to change them myself. I was shocked, especially since all the other nearby hotels were sold out. The replacement sheets were dirty too when I went back to disinfect and put them on. We made it through the night and checked out at 7 a.m. I told the front desk I needed to speak with the manager. They said the manager wasn't in and would be available at 9. I left my contact details, sent photos of the room, and explained what happened, but never received a response. I've called several times since, and the desk staff keep saying the manager is never in. I'm extremely disappointed in the cleanliness and the lack of response.

We've stayed here more than four times since October, and my family keeps coming back because the staff are friendly and respectful. The rooms have always been clean, and the breakfast area is tidy. I also get a great workout in with the free weights. The service is why we stay here again and again. Five stars!
