Centennial Suites & Extended Stay

I spent six months at this apartment and would strongly recommend avoiding it. The plumbing was poor and there were cockroaches in the rooms. Management was also extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. After the lease was signed, they raised the rent, then kept the deposit, saying it had gone toward cleaning behind appliances. The room itself wasn’t luxurious either.

The place was reasonably priced and nice, but the landlord made our stay uncomfortable. She lives on site, which left us feeling there was no privacy, and she’d yell at tenants from her doorstep. I paid rent on time and looked after my unit, yet she sent nasty emails threatening to evict me and my little girl. I’ve heard plenty of other tenants are unhappy with her attitude toward paying customers.

I felt comfortable having my 24-year-old daughter stay here while she took a Josh Lyons Horsemanship course in Rifle. She spent seven weeks in a clean, safe apartment that was well maintained and had all the appliances she needed, including an in-unit washer and dryer.

The housing is clean and nice. That’s about the only positive I can give it. The landlord’s attitude has been so bad that several tenants, including me, seem to want to leave. I’ve had nothing but rude, nasty treatment from someone who should be professional in a business setting. I hope I can speak with the owner soon because I can’t keep dealing with this. It’s hard to explain how bad it’s been.
