Prime Inn

I came to the Cape May area for a Red Knight motorcycle run on Sunday and found this hotel listed at $76 for the night. When I arrived, they charged me $126, and the attendant wouldn’t honor the advertised price. This is bullshit.

I’d stayed here many times before, but after just 30 minutes in the room, they kicked me out along with the couple in the next room, saying all the rooms had already been booked. Then the woman couldn’t work out how to credit my card. I’ll never stay there again.

Management barged in on my fiancée and me more than once while we were getting dressed. The pool was advertised, but it hasn’t been open since COVID and apparently will never open again. I feel that the interruptions alone should earn us a free month or two. My fiancée has been accused of being a criminal in several ways, even though he isn’t one. He’s helped out the whole time we’ve been here without charging anything. That should count for another month or two free, along with a few other things that get under my skin.

I was told my reservation had been cancelled, with no reason or explanation, and had to book another hotel. I still haven’t received my refund. I called because Expedia couldn’t reach them about it, but a 9-year-old child who couldn’t speak English put me through to a woman who said the reservation was cancelled. The child then said there was no manager, and I couldn’t speak to anyone who could help. Zero stars.
