The service was fine, but the room was filthy. Hair was scattered across the floor and pillows, the sheets had stains and what looked like footprints, and the sticky floor turned my white socks black. I even found a mouse dropping on the bench. When I moved the furniture, there were more droppings behind the couch and chair. Near the bed, what looked like rat poison had been left out or not cleaned up properly. I’m glad they may be trying to handle the mice, but with a child or pet around, that could have led to a lawsuit. My sister and I were in town for a concert and checked in earlier this week. We got a room in the back corner above a creepy shed, where a door kept swinging open and banging against the side all night. The room smelled like dirty feet and cigarettes as soon as we walked in. Its latch was broken, which felt especially unsettling for two girls far from home. At first the room seemed okay, with dated but kind of cute furniture. Looking closer, though, made it clear how bad it was. The bathroom had no light except the dim one in the mirror, and the A/C rattled loudly and seemed to wobble off the wall. It was obvious the floor hadn’t been swept or mopped before we arrived. This was one of the dirtiest Wyndham hotels I’ve stayed in. Do better.
The front desk clerk tonight was really friendly, and we had a great time. My room was a little dirty, but it wasn’t unbearable 💔. The room itself wasn’t the worst, despite all the negative reviews I’d read. For the price, it was worth it, including the $50 you get back as long as you don’t break anything, I’m sure. Be nicer to people!
After long days of hard work, I often stay at the super 8 in river grove, and I sleep so well there. I’ve been at least six times in the last two months. JAY is a kind-hearted guy, always helpful and friendly, and his hospitality is the reason I’ll keep coming back. Super 8 is lucky to have him. Honestly, if JAY weren’t there, I’d look for somewhere else. He’s awesome. Sincerely, Anthony Black.
The bathroom was so nasty, with a tub full of hair and dirt that I didn’t even want to shower in it. They really need to improve their cleaning. The service was great, though, and the price was great too. The location is awesome for what it costs, so it’s a good option if you’re on a budget.
The chair was disgustingly filthy, and the room had peeling ceiling paint and a towel bar that fell off the wall. The towels were paper thin, too. This place is a dive, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
