Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo

We especially enjoyed the boat tour, and the restaurant food was very good, with quick, friendly service. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious, and the facilities were well maintained. From arrival, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and Janelle was incredibly kind. Westgate River Ranch had a relaxed, fun feel that worked well for families, couples, or friends. We’d recommend it and would gladly return.

The pizza and burger from the poolside food truck were delicious. The café was the one part I didn’t love, though. It carries the Starbucks brand, but the quality, service, and price left a bit to be desired. It didn’t take away from the trip. We went with our 6-year-old son, who had so much fun. There were activities for different ages, including the little ones. My favorite was the Swamp Buggy, especially because our guide was communicative and funny. We laughed a lot. My husband tried the shooting range for the first time and said the instructor was great, so he was able to enjoy it. We had several fun-filled days, and I hope we can come back soon.

The Saturday night rodeo was a blast, and the airboat trip was fun too. Our guide was informative and got us very close to lots of alligators. The water park wasn’t too busy, and there were enough slides to keep the kids entertained. We also enjoyed the food, from the breakfast buffet and BBQ to the pool bar. A great family getaway in the middle of Florida, and a real hidden gem.

The teepee was comfortable and very clean, and breakfast arrived on time. The place is beautiful, and the staff were super friendly. The activities we managed to book were great, but our escape room was canceled just a couple of hours beforehand on the same day. They didn’t give us a reason or apology. During the week, there could be more activities and more things to do and eat. Most restaurants and bars were closed, and the few that were open closed very early. After 8 pm, there were literally no options. I still loved this beautiful, relaxing place and would recommend it.
