Motel 6-Ogden, UT - Riverdale

The location is handy, close to just about any store or restaurant we'd need. We barely used the pool, only sat by it outside, but the area was clean and the pool looked nice and family-friendly. Our dog loved it, too, waiting every night to say hello to one of the managers. This is the best Motel 6 we've stayed at. The rooms were clean and a bit larger than most Motel 6 rooms. The staff are so friendly and helped with everything, from extra towels to our broken-down car. They really went above and beyond.

There were lots of restaurants nearby, and although we didn't get a chance to use the pool, everyone else seemed to be having a good time. The room was good enough, and the price, staff, and pet policy were exceptional. My two dogs stayed for free, which is reason enough for me to keep coming back. We were happy with our decision to stay here.

The bed creaked and felt thin, while the pillows were so fluffy they might've been thicker than the mattress. There was no shampoo, either. Maybe that's about the environment, or maybe the owner is saving money, but most people don't travel with shampoo. A big bottle with a pump would save guests from paying $6 at the vending machine for shampoo, and another $6 for conditioner. The rooms were clean, the place was very pet-friendly, and I-15 and plenty of shopping and dining were convenient to reach.

We slept great, and the front desk clerk was awesome and friendly. The shower had hot water and lots of pressure. The room was clean, though it's a little older and the baseboards looked dirty. You can hear Prime walking upstairs because the laminate floors don't absorb sound. It's a 2 star hotel, so keep that in mind. There's no breakfast, and the lobby coffee doesn't get refilled.
