Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Riverside - Corona

I drove all the way from Sacramento to Riverside after booking two nights. Beforehand, I told the woman at the counter I was afraid of bugs, and she assured me the room was clean and safe. Within an hour, I saw bugs all over the room, including on the bed, and left immediately. I asked for a refund and was told to email, which I did. I never heard back, and still hadn’t received a response when I called again. Please don’t waste your money here.

I’m not from the area and didn’t expect the place to be this bad. It’s falling apart and infested with roaches. Worst experience ever!

The staff were friendly and the rates seemed reasonable, but the room had too many problems for me to rate this place higher. The in-room jacuzzi didn’t look clean, and its jets weren’t working. It was also hard to get fresh towels, and there was quite a bit of traffic noise.

I appreciated that the staff let me look at rooms before charging my card, and Choice Rewards refunded my points promptly after I complained to Choice Hotels. But the property itself was awful. The pictures seemed fake or very out of date, and there was no lobby like the one shown. The place smelled of urine, and the hallway floors were sticky and smelly. My room had a musty odor and gave me the impression that people rented rooms by the hour. Reviews from a year earlier suggested nothing had improved. Why is this franchise still operating under Choice Hotels? The owner needs to fix it, or Choice Hotels should remove it from the network. Worst hotel in the network.
