The owners and staff were really nice, and the spot itself is peaceful, with a decent grassy area and a creek behind the property. Getting a camper into the RV park is a bit tight, and the sites are close to each other. Still, I’d stay there again.

The cabins felt clean and homey, and the setting was lovely and tucked away. There were plenty of trees, a little brook behind the place, a fire pit, two horseshoe areas, and lots of room for dogs to run. I should’ve brought a hammock. I’d happily come back.

We brought our camper, so I can’t speak to the rooms. The woods and creek make for a beautiful view, and it was quiet during winter. I hear it gets busy in summer with fishing, hunting, and ATV trails nearby. The new owners were welcoming, and the staff were great.

The thing that really spoiled our return was being charged over $100 too much. I raised it with the person running the hotel before leaving, then called twice more over the following weeks. Each time I was told the owner would sort out the credit, but it still hasn’t happened, so now I’m filing a complaint with my card company. I have the receipt and the booking receipt showing what I owed, including my deposit. We used to come here years ago and stayed on July 5 and 6 so we could fish the MO. The rooms haven’t changed in 15 years: small and dated, but comfortable. The advertised internet and TV didn’t work at all, and there’s no cell service, so we were completely off grid. The restaurant and bar were closed, meaning we had to drive into Craig for food. That wasn’t a big deal since there are good places there. I’m very disappointed, and the hassle is why I’m giving two stars.

We planned an anniversary weekend around riding our four-wheelers, since the website still showed ATV trails, horseback riding, a bar, and a restaurant. When I called to book, I found out the new management had shut all of those down. Only the motel and campground are operating now. The woman on the phone was pleasant and explained what had closed, but the website still advertises those activities and even lets you pay to book. I’m glad I called before making plans online. We were pretty disappointed.
