We booked a double queen room for a wedding in Riverside, hoping to avoid the 91 freeway at night. The room was very clean and had no smells, and the bed was comfortable with crisp, clean bedding. Check-in was quick, but the young woman didn’t tell us basics like breakfast hours or checkout time. We got that information later from a young man at the front desk. There’s plenty of parking and the location is convenient. The elevator’s constant ding when the doors open woke me up, even though our room wasn’t right beside it. I’m a light sleeper, so I’d come back only if I could get a room farther from the elevator.

Katrice, I hope I have your name right, turned a room preference into a really nice check-in. On 9/22 I was offered a first-floor room, which I usually don’t like because of hallway traffic. I muttered that I’d prefer an upper floor but was going to take it. Katrice heard me and immediately started searching on the computer. Before I understood what she was doing, she’d found a quiet, spacious room on the third floor. I appreciated both. She went above and beyond when she didn’t have to. A true hospitality professional. Good luck with your professional pursuits, Katrice. Hilton never sent me an email inviting a review, but I wanted to give this front desk staff member a shout-out.

I’m a Gold member, but the renovation didn’t make this stay any easier. The room was awful, with a strong sour, sweaty, moldy smell as soon as I walked in. Even the ironing board had mold on it. I was exhausted from my business trip and couldn’t face changing rooms, so I put up with it for one night. I won’t return.

Larry at the front desk helped us recover all the suits my brother accidentally left in the room, and had them ready for pickup. Christian from housekeeping even checked the room again before we left to make sure we hadn’t forgotten anything else. We were in Norco in mid-July for a Regional Convention, with a large group of friends staying here too. The staff handled the busy breakfast crowd well and were accommodating throughout. Thanks to everyone for making our stay comfortable.

Back for my second stay, and the service is still the reason to come. LARRYsmile at the front desk made everything smooth and easy, and set me up in their recently upgraded suite. I’m trying a regular room now, and it’s just as lovely, modern, and upgraded. I felt safe, peaceful, relaxed, and like a king. The continental breakfast is amazing too. Those girls really know how to do it: yogurt, fruit, chocolate milk, cranberry juice, waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, Fruit Loops, and fantastic coffee. Thanks for everything, HAMPTON INN, another one bites the dust.
