Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center

Cassandra at the hotel bar was my favorite part. She was warm, helpful, and friendly, paid attention to details, remembered previous orders, and had an engaging personality. The rooms were spacious and clean, and streaming on the TVs was a big plus. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable too. The hotel is right by the cute downtown shops and restaurants, so the location is perfect. I'd recommend staying here if you're in Riverside.

Nate at the entrance deserves a shout-out. He was very friendly and helpful, and I hope he knows how much that's appreciated. The staff were all welcoming, and the rooms were nice. I had a great experience at this Marriot and look forward to returning once the renovations are finished.

We couldn't get coffee at the coffee bar in the morning because nobody was working the counter. My husband asked the front desk for help; they said they'd called someone, but no one ever came. We ended up walking to the Starbucks nearby. The location was great, but the bathroom sink wouldn't drain.

I've been here an hour, and this is the worst Marriott I've ever stayed in. The front desk staff were friendly, at least, but the rest has been a mess. Elevators only work properly some of the time, and finding an elevator that will take you to a floor with ice is luck of the draw since ice is on every other floor. Appliances like fridges and coffee makers were sitting in hallways on multiple floors, and trash was outside a lot of room doors. Our whole floor smelled of smoke in a smoke-free hotel. The room was kind of clean, using “clean” loosely, and the bed is so lumpy it seems due for replacement.
