There’s lots to do outside, and the hotel sits right on the beach. The restaurant and bar were accommodating, while the staff throughout were fabulous. Our room was roomy and comfortable with a good layout, though it showed some wear. The valet team earns their tips, so tip them well.

I travel for work often, and this is one of the best Marriott properties I’ve stayed at. What brings it above the others is the service. Shania, Raj, and Larry all went out of their way to make our visit feel special. We’ll definitely return.

Raj and Tina made us feel like family during our stay at Palm Beach Marriott Resort and Spa Singer Island. My family and I were there on September 5, 2025, to celebrate my 32nd wedding anniversary and my birthday, which are just days apart. Tina greeted us with such a caring, welcoming manner and even sent something special to our room. Raj was friendly and curious, and although we only spoke for a few minutes, we immediately felt at home. The hotel itself was peaceful and beautiful, from the modern lobby and cozy lounges to the pool with its quiet waterfalls. We were on the 18th floor, with breathtaking views, and our room was immaculately clean with very comfortable beds. From there, we could walk out to a private beach with blue water, umbrellas, and chairs. It was one of the most relaxing stays we’ve had, and we found it hard to leave. On our last morning, I set off downstairs at 4:30 a.m. after packing and praying for my husband, who was staying longer. The night before, reception had explained there was no airport shuttle and kindly gave me the number for a private driver. Mr. Grantley was waiting as arranged, and I told him West Palm Beach Airport. He dropped me off, but once I checked in, I realized my flight was actually from Fort Lauderdale Airport. I called Mr. Grantley. He came back without hesitation and drove me about an hour to Fort Lauderdale. We agreed on a price, and I gave him a $30 tip because he deserved it. He was patient, kind, and professional. We had a lovely conversation about his work on cruise ships in the 1980s, which felt like one last travel story before I headed home. The detour turned a possible mess into a memorable, grace-filled end to my stay. Thanks to the hotel staff for recommending him. If you need a reliable ride for an early flight, especially when Uber or Lyft may cancel, book Mr. Grantley. I felt at ease with him. That ride was the ending to our stay after a seven-day cruise on the Star Princess. Disembarkation went smoothly, and we rented a car to drive to West Palm Beach early Saturday. There was no traffic, but I was exhausted after sleeping poorly the night before. The hotel was easy to find and had no line. I expected to wait until the usual 3:00 p.m. check-in, so I quietly asked Jesus for favor: “For you, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor you will surround him as with a shield” (Psalm 5:12). The courteous, helpful man at the front desk told me our room was ready. I thanked Jesus for His mercies: “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes” (Psalm 118:23). God is good. We were so tired that we misheard the floor as 15. After a moment of confusion, we realized the room was 515. When we opened the door, wow. The hotel was spacious and beautiful, with a laundry area, soft robes, and TVs from before the HD era that were still clear enough to enjoy. Our room looked out over the ocean, and palm trees surrounded the pool. I even spotted a calm iguana near a little cascade by the pool, as if it belonged there. Standing there, I understood Ibn Battuta’s thought that travel leaves you speechless before it turns you into a storyteller, and John Steinbeck’s idea that trips take people. For a moment, I thought I could live there. The early drive added another page to my travel story, as Saint Augustine put it: “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.”
